The Avgar Studio was conceptualised by Founder Heather Anderson in January 2020. It took our team 31 months of research, design, and construction to realise her unique vision.
Paul Parlane is a highly experienced PGA member with over 30 years of experience in the field. Previously, he served as the head professional at Millbrook Resort, where he placed a strong emphasis on providing a top-notch member experience, individual lessons, and sought-after golf schools. During his more than 20 years as Director of Instruction at MountainGate Country Club in Los Angeles, he led a team of nine instructors who organized and conducted individual lessons, golf schools, ladies, and junior programs.
Paul has an impressive track record of instructing many world-class golfers, including major winner Mark O’Meara, multiple PGA tour winner David Frost, PGA tour winner Phil Tataurangi, and multiple champions tour winner Steve Alker. He has also instructed celebrities, athletes, and prominent business people in Los Angeles. Paul’s business and reputation were in high demand, with his schedule often booked out weeks in advance. Additionally, he has escorted high-end golf leisure travel to New Zealand, focusing on providing a true Kiwi experience and the ultimate customer experience.
Aside from his extensive teaching experience, Paul has also played professional golf around the world. In the late 1990s, he competed on the Canadian golf tour and various other tours globally. In recent years, he has been accumulating multiple wins on various senior golf tours.
Paul has been a member at several prestigious golf clubs, including Monterey Peninsula Country Club in Monterey California, The Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City Florida, Isleworth Country Club in Windermere Florida, and Lake Nona Golf and Country Club in Florida.
Paul recently started as the Chief Executive for Avgar Studio, which offers a luxury golf simulator that is equipped with its own power generator and Starlink internet. As the Chief Executive, Paul will provide golf lessons, corporate events, or practice opportunities in any weather condition. He is thrilled to be joining this innovative company and looks forward to utilizing his expertise to provide customers with an exceptional experience.
For most Auckland locations the minimum hire is 1 day. For locations outside of Auckland the minimum hire is at least 2 days, the minimum hire duration depends on how many hours drive your venue is from Auckland.
All age groups and abilities. For safe operation an Avgar employee will be with the simulator at all times.
Yes, an Avgar employee will be present at all times throughout your event hire to ensure safe and optimal operation of the simulator.
Yes, but experienced golfers will prefer to bring their own clubs.
